1. Before brain scanning was invented the people just knew the brain from dead people. The neuroscientists knew the different parts of the brain but they did not know which part was taking care of what function. With the brain scanning the scientists could see what part of the brain was working when people were in different situation. Also if people have disorders in a certain parts of the brain they could figure out the place where the disorder occurs.
2. Yes there could be differences in the different hemispheres, which could cause success in peoples occupation. The two hemispheres having different functions in the body, the left side concentrates on the verbal competence. The right hemisphere concentrates on non-verbal areas. People benefit from these different hemispheres when their occupation has something to do wither their dominant hemisphere.
3. I would practice more reading with the boys because their right brain is dominant so they are better in non-verbal areas. Compared the girls who are more left brain dominate and so better in verbal area.
